Return Policy.

How we handle returns and aftercare for blinds and curtains supplied by Handstatelieren.

1. Overview

This Return Policy explains how we handle cancellations, returns and after-sales issues for orders placed with Handstatelieren. It should be read alongside our Terms of Use and any specific terms supplied with your quotation or order confirmation.

2. Custom-made products

Most of the blinds and curtains we supply are custom-made to your measurements and fabric choices. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (United Kingdom) and related legislation, made-to-measure goods are generally exempt from the standard right to cancel once production has begun, as they cannot be resold in the ordinary course of business.

For this reason, once you have confirmed your order and we have started to manufacture your items, you will not normally be able to cancel or return them simply because you change your mind.

3. Cancellations before production

If you wish to cancel an order before we have started production, please contact us as soon as possible on +44 7770 152765. Where no materials have been cut and no special items have been ordered from suppliers, we will do our best to accommodate your request. Any costs already incurred may be deducted from any refund offered.

4. Quality and workmanship issues

We take care to ensure that blinds and curtains supplied are made and fitted in line with the agreed specification and to a high standard of workmanship.

If you believe there is an issue with the quality, materials or fitting of your order, please contact us promptly with details and, where possible, photographs. We will assess the situation and, where appropriate and in line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015, arrange for repair, adjustment or replacement within a reasonable time.

5. Measurements provided by you

Where we have carried out the site survey and taken the measurements, we are responsible for ensuring that the products are made to fit as agreed. Where you supply your own measurements and we manufacture in accordance with those measurements, we cannot accept responsibility if the items do not fit as expected.

6. Colour and fabric variation

Fabric batches can vary slightly in shade and texture and colours may appear different on screens compared with in person. Sample books and swatches are provided as a guide. Minor variations that are typical of textile production and within normal tolerance are not considered defects.

7. Damage in transit or on installation

If products are damaged on delivery or during installation, we will arrange repair or replacement where we are responsible for the damage. Please let us know as soon as you become aware of any issue so that we can resolve it quickly.

8. How to contact us about a return or issue

If you need to raise a concern about your order, please contact us at 24 Talbot St, Sheffield S2 2TG, United Kingdom or by phone on +44 7770 152765. You may also get in touch through our Contact page.

9. Your statutory rights

Nothing in this Return Policy affects your statutory rights under UK law, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. If you require independent advice, you may wish to contact a consumer advice organisation.
